ESPRespirator Projects Around the World
Our team in Croatia has designed a makeshift respirator for medical staff. We call it CroResp Respirator with eye protection made from a diving mask, adapter and a viral filter. CroResp is designed for personal use at the discretion of medical professionals in the case of lack of certified and recommended protective equipment.
CroResp aims to protect the airways and eyes of frontline healthcare workers, especially those who carry out procedures in which aerosol is generated. This type of respirator can be made out of parts currently available in Croatia and most likely many other countries. Modifications to the design can be done quickly, both for various masks and different types of filters.

CroResp team has been exchanging all the data with Dr. Assad. Remarkably, he found a solution to make the respirators in the USA, without access to a 3D printer.
Dr. Christian Assad is an Interventional Cardiologist that works in McAllen, Texas. His passion for innovation and technology in the medical field lead him to design Snorkel-Respirator mask he named COVIDEUS that passed N95 qualitative testing with materials accesible to everyone.
